Beautifully filmed and utterly mesmerising, Babylon Berlin graced our screens last year with a third season. Full of stunning visuals and intriguing plots, it acts as a deeper investigation into the lives of people across the social spectrum during Berlin in the late 1920s.
Mythos is a superb retelling of the most famous Greek myths. Stephen Fry takes these well-known tales and tells them in a way that manages to feel both fresh and exciting, while remaining accessible so that no prior knowledge of Greek mythology is required.
The much-hyped opulent staging of Netflix’s The Crown encouraged a quick look to check out the mid-century fashions. However, I found myself more engaged by the elements of history and the perspectives provided by post-war politics in England.
